Given the reviews, I was excited to try Malaysian Delight. I was rather disappointed. Firstly, immediately upon entering I was brusquely told ‘cash only’. This was mumbled so fast, I had to ask for it to be repeated. I wouldn’t normally eat at places that are ‘cash only’ as it screams ‘tax evasion’ or ‘money laundering’ to me. It was late and I was hungry so I asked to be seated anyway. My basic goreng was distinctly unremarkable. I’ve travelled a few times to Malaysian and Indonesia and this was not particularly close to the nasi goreng I’ve had time and time again. Perhaps it’s been adapted for the Brummie palate but it was still disappointing. It was, in fact, more like a Chinese style special fried rice. Everything was fine but it’s unlikely I’d eat here again.

Found this nice little restaurant. Nothing flashy but lovely food. It was busy throughout the day so we thought we'd have dinner. And glad we did. Extensive menu, however reading Malaysian might help, lol. Oh and generous portions. We would of ordered less if we'd have known.

Such a great find!! The food was exceptional, service quick, and vibe was really nice and relaxed. I'll absolutely be coming here again when I get the craving for banana fritters!
